I love getting the mail when there is a surprise for me. After working on a second photo book, I was excited when the package arrived.  
There have been times when I needed just the right gift for someone but couldn't come up with what I wanted. I have a friend who has recently being walking the difficult path of chemotherapy for breast cancer.  I shared one of my previous books with her and she found the words and images spoke to her during this journey. I am ready to send in a draft for my new gift book.  It is designed for a general audience but could specifically be appropriate for someone experiencing a challenge in their life journey.  I will share a photo and sample of the book in the next couple weeks. Check it out and let me know what you think.  Along with the book there will be a variety of small gift items that relate directly to the text and photos in the book.  All photos were taken by me and the thoughts are mine as well.  

IT'S THE BEGINNING OF A NEW YEAR AND A NEW PROJECT.  WHAT A GOOD TIME TO BE CREATING - TUCKED INSIDE AWAY FROM THE COLD AND SNOWY WEATHER!  JOIN ME AS I SHARE SOME OF MY CREATING WITH YOU IN 2014.  SPEND SOME TIME WITH ME AS WE MOVE THROUGH THE SEASONS OF THE YEAR AS WELL AS THE SEASONS OF OUR CREATING.

     I am a retired art educator, having worked with children of all ages and abilities.  I quickly discovered that retirement wasn't a guarantee of more time on my hands but I do try to specifically set aside time to explore a variety of techniques.

   Sharing my work and making it available for purchase is one part of my goal with a new blog.  Learning and sharing new ideas with you is equally as important to me.  So...
